Anyone seen Alicia?

Hello there!!!

Oh my I have been busy.  Kara is done with school next week Wednesday and she has a lot of end of the school year things going on.  She also started track on Tuesday.  It was canceled last night due to a rain storm but she is loving it so far.  I see this being a good confidence builder as she loves to see her own progress in speed and running more efficiently.   Jace has been his usual 3 year old self.  He has added destroying his toys to a list of not so good things he seems to be doing lately.  It is very frustrating because he does not understand if he wrecks it , it is no more.  It gets thrown and no replacement.  I am hoping by Fall he is understanding certain things better.  He understands a lot just not everything that a lot of other kids his age are.  He is talking a lot better now as well.  He finished his last day of school last Friday.  He will start again this Fall and be going 7 hrs a week versus the 1 hour 45 minutes he did this week.  He will have a helper with him in his preschool class to help him adapt to the surroundings and activities.  Because he is so visual they use picture cards to let him know its time to change stations or activities without him throwing a tantrum because he doesn’t understand why he is having to stop playing and then sit.  So we will see come Fall what happens there.

I started volleyball last week as well.  The guy who does the schedule and set up is slacking big time in this area each year.  They got new owners a couple years ago and the restaurant/bar where we play and well the guy plays 3 nights a week and likes to change the rules on you when you play against them and happen to be winning against them. Anyway I am going to see if there is anyway to get someone else in charge of the scheduling and sign ups because he has a hard time saying no which in turn has put the nights like this…

Tuesday: 10 teams      Wednesday: 7 teams     Thursday(night I play): 16 teams
I asked him why he doesn’t put up a sheet that has a certain amount of teams allowed each night and if they are filled and someone wants in on that night they would have to be put on a list where if someone switched or left they could get in otherwise it is first come first serve.  He tells me” Well it’s not my fault everyone wants Thursdays”.  Ugh! I wanted to give him the V8 slap!  Hello you know the night is popular and if there are 12 teams you say NO it’s full.  We play Thursdays because it is what works with all of our schedules and I don’t feel like I should have to move my team to a different night with less teams just because he cannot say No.  Ok I am venting sorry. Anyhow I seriously am thinking about volunteering for the position myself!  Seriously you have 1 whole month to sign up before we start playing so there should be no reason that if you want in on a popular night you would hurry up and get your butt in there and get on that nights roster, if not well to bad go to a different night.  That’s how I see it if my team was not able to get in on the roster. Bah! Whatever!

Alright Clutter Free challenge: I have still been doing this although I do not have 17 things for the last 17 days I missed blogging.  I will get that updated to 17 and get all caught up and then post my list.

What else is going on? Oh yeah I have Planters Fasciitis which is wonderful(sarcastic here).  So I have supports for my shoes now and went and bought a new pair of walking/running shoes which are awesome!  My feet are less sore in these and comfy.

They are cute too!

Alright I have a big assignment to do so gotta run!

Helloooo…

Hello out there.  I figured it’s time to post a couple pictures.
Jace has become fascinated with cooking.  So I got him a play kitchen a few weeks back, it took awhile to find a non girly one!.  It also took forever to put the darn thing together.  You have to cut all the plastic pieces off the sheets they come connected to, pain in butt!  BUT it was worth it to see his face when it was all done and ready to play with.

Now onto my daughter, who thinks she is old enough to mow the lawn.  Umm well yeah not so sure, I mean she is only 9!  Well the snow melted(and didn’t come back yay!), and John came over to help put up a new net on the trampoline and pulled out the rider.  Yep I thought he was giving Jace a ride on it and looked out the window to see this……

WHAT?!  Then she waved! lol  I took the picture and then told her to get her hand on the wheel!  She was going like 2mph so not like she was going very fast! lol  Although she does need another inch to comfortably use the break.  She thinks she is mowing the yard this year but I told her next summer when she has hit double digits in age! lol  That happens in September so I am sure I will hear the request then since we will have a couple more mowing sessions left for the year.

My plan for her and I this summer is to teach her to coo, and maybe cook more myself then!  We are also going to be doing Power 90(beachbody fitness dvds) together to build up muscles in us and get us fit and trim.  She doesn’t really need it but wants to build her muscles and the program is not to hard that she couldn’t do it too.

Alright one more thing…..

35. Recycling old magazines I do not need

GOD BLESS all of you today!

Clutter Day 34

28.  Went through and shredded paper and recycled it
29.  Old baking supplies
30. Boxes from garage/recycled
31. Bathroom product boxes to make room for the products
32. Almost empty shampoo
33. Torn washcloth
34. old wooden spoons/replaced

Well let’s see… oh yeah mother daughter retreat info.
We had a blast.  Met up with some old friends from last year and made some new ones.  Kara was part of a 4 girl “team” that were almost inseparable!  They had great fun and I enjoyed meeting the mothers of these girls(1 I met last year).  We did not get a room by ourselves this year and were put in a room with a Grandma, a teen, and a 5 yr old.  Well it was interesting to say the least.  Unfortunately my thinking I was going to get any sleep did not happen due to having some roommates but it was fun to meet them.  Kara was going to do the zipline this year but she got up there and after 30 minutes came down mad at herself.  We talked about it and she may try while at summer camp.  She knows she is safe but it’s taking that jump off the wall to actually “fly” that scares her.  Quite honestly if I weighed less I would have done it myself and probably had the same reaction.

Well we had our garage sale last weekend.  Made out pretty good even though it rained all day Saturday.  My friend and I decided to pack up what didn’t sell and have a garage sale at the end of July like we normally do and try and get rid of the rest as well as what gets accumulated from now until then.

Mother’s day was good.  Kara had clues set up for me to find what she made me at school.. It was a great wire and bead dragon fly!  It is hanging in my truck now.  Also a great card. :)  She also went and spent time with John to get me a book and a little fairy figure with the money she made at the garage sale.  Awww!  Love you baby girl!

Ok I am cooking and need to get to the stove now so later!

Clutter Day 22

Current Mood:Sleepy emoticon Sleepy

18. Old children’s bible cards
19. 12 pairs of pants that I will never wear
20. 14 shirts that I will never wear
21. Dresses that are to short for Kara
22. More books

Alright I am all caught up on updating my clutter free challenge! This will become way harder once we have our garage sale and I have to get rid of the stuff I didn’t already clean out! :)  Anyone else doing this challenge.  It’s actually very nice to see stuff leave the house and make my house less cluttered(or messy).

Kara and I leave for our Mother-Daughter retreat come Friday so I have to hurry and get all my homework done for this week finished before then. YIKES!   We went for the first time last year and it was great.  You may recall the story of almost being run over by a family of deer!? lol  This year the focus is on Beauty.  Not superficial but the beauty God sees in us that we need/should see in ourselves.  I am so excited about this! Not only for myself but for Kara as well because she is in the preteen stage, whether I like it or not, and well she is not a tiny girl, she is not fat but she has an athlete’s body and is one of the tallest girls in her grade.  So she gets teased sometimes about it and I tell her they do not know what they are talking about and God loves us and made us this way for Him.  It will be good for her to hear from others that reinforce it.  Plus she is excited to see some stuff that was being built last summer while she was at summer bible camp & what it looks like now.  This summer she moves to a new age group and instead of 2 nights of staying she stays 4!   She is nervous but loves getting to know God and other christian girls her age.

Alright gotta run!
God Bless!

Alicia
